Sturdily boxed, complete with full use/care instruction booklet.

An old favourite of mine, the shallow wide base of this particular casserole allows the maximum contact between food and heat.
This resultant even heat retention enables cooking efficiency at low or medium temperatures, helping to conserve energy and keep fuel bills lower....also very important in the current climate.

Suitable for any hob-top or pop it in the oven, even under the grill to brown off!
A heavish 'pot', this dish has well-designed lifting handles, but don't forget your oven gloves.

Relatively easy to wash up by hand, although it can require a bit of soaking and a rub with a brush....to shift the more stubborn cooked-on food remains.
Dishwasher safe.

My current favourite recipe in this 'pot', is 'Pork Medallions with Cream & Mustard Sauce', serving 6, from the SHALLOW CASSEROLE dedicated chapter in The Cast Iron Way to Cook, by Sue Cutts.

Available in a variety of other colours, and in a larger 3.2L size: 30 cm, as well as a NEW handy 22 cm size.

I have both the 26cm and 30 cm shallow casserole dishes. As you would expect from Le Creuset, they are easy to use on both the hob and in the oven (or both, depending on the recipe you use them for). As you would also expect of cast iron (enamelled interior), they are also fairly weighty when full.

The 26cm casserole is just about the right size to comfortably prepare a meal for two without the contents being in danger of spilling out if stirred on the hob. The 30cm is large enough to comfortably hold a meal for four. The 26cm fits nicely inside the 30cm, sitting on the lid of the former and thus the pair do not use up an awful lot of cupboard space, which is always a boon.

Cleaning is a breeze, they come up like new in the dishwasher or when washed by hand.

Mine both had sticky labels on the base; I mention this only because I remembered to remove one but not the second - the smoke alarm and a smell of chemical burning alerted me to my omission when the dish in question was otherwise happily cooking on the hob. Oops! Anyway, even the burnt label came off cleanly, so no harm done.

I tend to use this size for my sauces when there are only two or three eating, and it is a neat fit on the smallest ring on the hob.

Cast iron retains heat longer than any other cooking material so it is ideal for using at the lowest of temperatures and, therefore, is very economical, too.
Cast iron is remarkably easy to wash up, by hand, too - although some soaking and a rub with a plastic brush may be required for those more stubborn remains!
Dishwasher safe.

Boxed, complete with full CAST IRON care and use instructions.

Great product. Arrived quite quickly and well packaged. I have used this oil 3 times on my chopping boards, wooden spoons and rolling pin. My woodware look much more darker and well conditioned. Good value for money its a great product and looks like its going to last a good while too.

This 8" steamer is two-tiered and quite small. I haven't returned it as sometimes my husband is away on business and it provides me with a quick meal. It would be perfect for a single person or a couple. I have cooked wontons in my steamer and they came out perfect. I have rated this steamer as a 4 star, only because of the size. However, I will now be looking around for a single tier 14" to fit in my wok!

This is a great little unit. For the price, you just can't beat it. It is so simple to assemble, as there are no screws, you just twist the legs into place and it's done in 5 minutes. I found the company very professional, with delivery really quick and I'll certainly use them again.
