Hinari mini steamer,
This is a very neat, easy to store steamer, which is why I chose it from all the other steamers on view. I have had other steamers, with bigger bases and baskets, but only wanted one that would cook enough for two to three people and this is ideal. The one problem with it which the booklet doesn’t mention is that the water takes about five to seven minutes to heat up, so that time has to be added to the recommended cooking time in the booklet. I got the timings wrong at first, not having had to do it with the bigger steamers as they heat the water almost immediately, but I have adjusted the times I use and am very happy with it. The baskets fit over the base upside down, like lids, so does not take up too much room in a cupboard, as it is not tall like the bigger steamers. I am happy that I bought it, and have used it many times in the last month.

Not sure if I am using the product right but it just doesn’t seem to work at all!!! The bit of metal that is suppose to steam the water is not powerful enough and you cannot regulate the temperature. I even put boiling water to speed up the process and it didn’t work. The picture of the product is very deceiving because I do not believe that you can steam carrots the size of that picture or sweetcorn!!!
